Plan to attend the Outstanding Teen Awards programme scheduled for March 21, 2010 at 6 in the evening. The venue is the Harbourview Ballroom of the Fairmont Hamilton Princess Hotel.
The OTA programme is an annual event acknowledging the accomplishments of Bermuda's best. It recognizes excellence in the following categories: scholastic, most progress, incentive, sports, leadership, community service, spiritual leadership, performing arts, visual arts and outstanding overall.
Schools, churches and organizations nominate teens who then meet with professional panels for interviews. Each panel selects two category winners: a male and female. There is also an overall winner for the OTA event.
(Saltus Grammar School)
2008 - Aliyyah Ahad
(Bermuda High School for Girls)
2007 - Adam Kiki-Charles
(Saltus Grammar School)
We consider it a privilege to be able to promote
all that is positive about Bermuda's youth.
SPECIAL NOTE: We encourage nomination of teens ages 17-19 who meet the requirements in the various categories. Also, thanks to community sponsors, we anticipate a cash award of $750 for all category winners with the exception of the overall winner who receives an award of $2,500.
